North Koreans Back at Work in Nuclear Plant

SEOUL, South Korea - North Koreans are moving freely in and out 
of a nuclear power plant since removing seals installed by 
foreign monitors, a South Korean news agency reported Wednesday 
in the latest sign the North is preparing to restart the reactor.

years (sound a little rushed and dangerous - duh). Another

warheads. Now consider this:

N Korean Missiles

N Korea has deployed over 300 Nodong-x (medum range - Japan and 
Okinawa) and close to a thousand Scud-B/C missiles (short range -
 S Korea) all of which can carry nuclear or chemical warheads. 
NoDong-1's have a range of 1,300km and NoDong-2's have a range 
of 1,500-2,000km. N Korea is believed to have a limited number 
of Taepodong-x ICBMs (long range - America) hidden in 
underground tunnels. 

The Taepo Dong-2 ICBM has a maximum range of 6,200 miles. The US 
DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) estimates that the missile has 
a range of about 4,650 miles with large nuclear warheads and 
6,200 miles with smaller warheads. At the extreme of 6,200 mil 
es, the missile could reach all major West Coast cities (Los 
Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego,,,) and reach as far east as 
Chicago.

Clinton Bankrolled North Korea's Nuke Program

In what now looks like one of the worst foreign policy blunders 
of the postwar era in light of North Korea's acknowledgement 
yesterday that it's working to develop nuclear weapons, the 
Clinton administration poured billions of dollars in foreign aid 
into the rogue state throughout the 1990s - and earmarked a 
substantial portion of that aid for North Korea's nuclear energy 
program.

As NewsMax.com reported in February:

A country designated by President Bush as part of the "axis of 
evil" received more foreign aid during President Clinton's two 
terms than any other country in the Asia-Pacific region, a 
congressional study concluded two years ago.

House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Christopher Cox, R-
Calif., said the study conducted by his panel found that under 
the Clinton administration, North Korea became the "largest 
recipient of U.S. foreign aid in the Asia-Pacific region," 
according to the committee's report as quoted by CNSNews.com.

"In an astonishing reversal of nine previous U.S. 
administrations, the Clinton-Gore administration, in 1994, 
committed not only to provide foreign aid for North Korea, but 
to earmark that aid primarily for the construction of nuclear 
reactors worth up to $6 billion," the Cox Committee contended.

The committee's report added:

"The U.S.-funded light water reactors in North Korea will 
accumulate plutonium in spent fuel at the rate of about 17,300 
ounces per year, enough to produce 65 nuclear bombs a year.

"The Clinton-Gore policy, it is now clear, has severely worsened 
the threat that North Korea poses to the world by systematically 
rewarding Kim Jong-il for his most dangerous misconduct. It has 
provided North Korea with an increased capacity for the 
development of nuclear weapons and the long-range missiles to 
deliver them."

Cox, along with fellow congressmen Ed Markey, D-Mass., and 
Benjamin Gilman, R-N.Y., sent a letter to President Bush in 
February calling for the U.S. to cancel the nuke deal and urged 
him to spotlight the North Korean threat during his then-
upcoming visit to Japan, South Korea and China.

Beyond aiding North Korea's nuke program, the Clinton 
administration provided 500,000 metric tons of fuel oil per year 
to the communist dictatorship's state-run military-industrial 
base, a figure that was "almost double what North Korea's 
civilian economy can use," the Cox Committee said.

In 1999, Rep. Cox conducted a separate investigation into 
China's acquisition of U.S. nuclear secrets during the Clinton 
years, concluding that the People's Liberation Army had, for the 
first time in its history, acquired the capacity to strike the 
continental United States with nuclear-tipped ballistic missiles.

"You worry me. I wish you didn't. I wish when I walked down the
streets of this country that I love, that your color and 
culture still
blended with the beautiful human landscape we enjoy in this 
country. But
you don't blend in anymore. I notice you, and it worries me. I 
notice you
because I can't help it anymore. People from your homelands, 
professing
to be Muslims, have been attacking and killing my fellow 
citizens and our
friends for more than 20 years now. I don't fully understand 
their
grievances and hate but I know that nothing can justify the 
inhumanity of
their attacks.

On September 11, nineteen ARAB MUSLIMS hijacked four jetliners 
in my
country. They cut the throats of women in front of children and 
brutally
stabbed to death others. They took control of those planes and 
crashed
them into buildings killing thousands of proud fathers, loving 
sons, wise
grandparents, elegant daughters, best friends, favorite 
coaches, fearless
public servants, and children's mothers.

So I notice you now. I don't want to be worried. I don't want 
to be
consumed by the same rage and hate and prejudice that has 
destroyed the
soul of these terrorists. But I need your help. As a rational 
American,
trying to protect my country and family in an irrational and 
unsafe world,
I must know how to tell the difference between you, and the 
Arab/Muslim
terrorist.

How do I differentiate between the true Arab Muslim Americans 
and the
Arab Muslims in our communities who are attending our schools, 
enjoying
our parks, and living in OUR communities under the protection 
of OUR
constitution, while they plot the next attack that will 
slaughter those
very same good neighbors and children? The events of September 
11th
changed the answer. It is not my responsibility to determine 
which of you
embraces our great country, with ALL of its religions, with ALL 
of its
different citizens, with all of its faults. It is time for 
every Arab
Muslim in
this country to determine it for me.

I want to know, I demand to know, and I have a right to know 
whether
or not you love America. Do you pledge allegiance to its flag? 
Do you
proudly display it in front of your house, or on your car? Do 
you pray in
your many daily prayers that Allah will bless this nation that 
He will
protect and prosper it?

Or do you pray that Allah with destroy it in one of 
your "Jihads"? Are
you thankful for the freedom that only this nation affords? A 
freedom
that was paid for by the blood of hundreds of thousands of 
patriots who
gave their lives for this country? Are you willing to preserve 
this
freedom by paying the ultimate sacrifice? Do you love America? 
If this
is your commitment, then I need YOU to start letting ME know 
about it.

Your Muslim leaders in this nation should be flooding the media 
at
this time with hard facts on your faith, and what hard actions 
you are
taking as a community and as a religion to protect the United 
States of
America. Please, no more benign overtures of regret for the 
death of the
innocent because I worry about who you regard as innocent. And 
no more
benign overtures of condemnation for the unprovoked attacks 
because I
worry about what is unprovoked to you. I am not interested in 
any more
sympathy

I am only interested in action. What will you do for America, 
our great
country at this time of crisis, at this time of war?

I want to see Arab Muslims waving the AMERICAN flag in the 
streets. I
want to hear you chanting "Allah Bless America". I want to see 
young Arab
Muslim men enlisting in the military. I want to see a 
commitment of
money, time, and emotion to the victims of this butchering and 
to this
nation as a whole.

The FBI has a list of over 400 people they want to talk to 
regarding
the WTC attack. Many of these people live and socialize in 
Muslim
communities. You know them. You know where they are. Hand them 
over to
us, now! But I have seen little even approaching this sort of 
action.
Instead I have seen an already closed and secretive community 
close even
tighter.

You have disappeared from the streets. You have posted armed 
security
guards at your facilities. You have threatened lawsuits. You 
have
screamed for protection from reprisals. The very few Arab Muslim
representatives that HAVE appeared in the media were defensive 
and
equivocating. They seemed more concerned with making sure that 
the United
States proves who was responsible before taking action. They 
seemed more
concerned with protecting their fellow Muslims from violence 
directed
towards them in the United States and abroad than they did with 
supporting
our country and denouncing "leaders" like Khadafi, Hussein, 
Farrakhan, and
Arafat. If the true teachings of Islam proclaim tolerance and 
peace and
love for all people then I want chapter and verse from the 
Koran and
statements from popular Muslim leaders to back it up. What good 
is it if
the teachings in the Koran are good and pure and true when 
your "leaders"
are teaching fanatical interpretations, terrorism, and 
intolerance?

It matters little how good Islam SHOULD BE if large numbers of 
the
world's Muslims interpret the teachings of Mohammed incorrectly 
and adhere
to a degenerative form of the religion. A form that has been 
demonstrated
to us over and over again. A form whose structure is built upon 
a
foundation of violence, death, and suicide. A form whose 
members are
recruited from the prisons around the world. A form whose 
members
defended Johnny Cochran and 0. J. Simpson after the latter 
butchered his
wife and murdered an innocent friend. A form whose members 
(some as young
as five years old) are seen day after day, week in and week 
out, year
after year, marching in the streets around the world, burning 
effigies of
our presidents, burning the American flag, shooting weapons 
into the air.
A form whose members convert from a peaceful religion, only to 
take up
arms against the great United States of America, the country of 
their
birth. A form whose rules are so twisted, that their traveling 
members
refuse to show their faces at airport security checkpoints, in 
the name of
Islam.

Do you and your fellow Muslims hate us because our women 
proudly show
their faces in public rather than cover up like a shameful 
whore?

Do you and your fellow Muslims hate us because we drink wine 
with
dinner, or celebrate Christmas? Do you and your fellow Muslims 
hate us
because we have befriended Israel, the ONLY civilized 
democratic nation in
the entire middle east? And if you and your fellow Muslims hate

LAHORE, Pakistan   Mourners buried three girls killed in a 
Christmas grenade attack on a tiny church in eastern Pakistan, 
and police detained an Islamic cleric who allegedly called on 
followers to kill Christians days before the bombing.

  
 
 
 
Police also detained three other people Thursday for questioning 
in the attack, which injured 13 people in Chianwala, about 40 
miles northwest of Lahore. 

Two assailants covered in burqas -- the all-encompassing garment 
worn by women in some Islamic countries -- tossed a grenade into 
the middle of worshippers at a Christmas service Wednesday.

On Thursday, about 2,500 people, several times the number of the 
church's normal congregation, gathered for a memorial service 
for the girls killed in the attack.

The coffins of the victims -- aged 6, 10 and 15 -- were carried 
on the shoulders of mourners to a local cemetery for burial.

In a statement, newly elected Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan 
Jamali described the attack as "dastardly" and designed 
to "foment religious and sectarian strife" in Pakistan.

Since Pakistan lent its support to the U.S.-led military 
campaign to overthrow Afghanistan's hard-line Taliban, attacks 
on Christians by suspected Islamic militants have increased, 
killing more than two dozen people.

The cleric, who uses only the one name, Afzar, was being 
detained because of hateful remarks toward Christians made three 
days earlier in a sermon at a mosque in the district of Daska, 
where Chianwala is located, police said. Authorities say they 
have no evidence yet that he was directly involved in the attack.

Afzar reportedly told his congregation that "it is the duty of 
every good Muslim to kill Christians," according to Nazir Yaqub, 
a police officer in Daska.

"Afzar told people 'you should attack Christians and not even 
have food until you have seen their dead bodies,"' Yaqub told 
The Associated Press by telephone.

Afzar's son, Attaullah, was also detained for questioning. The 
two are open supporters of the banned group Jaish-e-Mohammed, a 
violent anti-India organization with ties to the al-Qaida 
terrorist network, said a police officer in Chianwala, Mohammed 
Riaz.

A spokesman for the militant group, Mufti Abdul Raouf, said his 
party did not carry out the attack.

"Absolutely not, no member of our group was involved in the 
attack on that church in Daska. We did not assign anyone to do 
this," he said.

Two other people have also been detained by police in Chianwala 
for the grenade attack, but it was not known whether they too 
had links to the group, which was outlawed in Pakistan last 
January.

Security had been increased in churches ahead of Christmas 
celebrations around this mostly Islamic nation.

But a policeman who was to guard the church failed to show up 
for work, according to his superiors. The policeman, identified 
as Shah Nawaz, was being questioned, but it was not yet clear 
whether he was simply negligent or was party to the attack, said 
Yaqub.

About 40 people, mostly women and children and all Pakistanis, 
were attending the Christmas Day service.

Witnesses said the attackers wore burqas, said Amanat Ali, a 
police official in Daska. However, it was unclear whether the 
attackers were women or disguised men. Ali said witnesses 
reported the attackers were taller than most women.

Male Islamic militants in neighboring Afghanistan have worn 
burqas to hide their identities in at least one recent attack 
there.

There have been four other deadly attacks on Christians in 
Pakistan this year. The last was on Sept. 25, when gunmen 
entered the offices of a Christian welfare organization in 
Karachi, tied seven employees to their chairs and shot each in 
the head.

On March 17, a grenade attack on a Protestant church in 
Islamabad killed five people, including a U.S. Embassy employee 
and her 17-year-old daughter.

On Aug. 5, assailants raided a Christian school filled with 
foreign children in Murree, 40 miles east of Islamabad. Six 
Pakistanis were killed, including guards and non-teaching staff.

And on Aug. 9, attackers hurled grenades at worshippers at a 
church on the grounds of a Presbyterian hospital in Taxila, 
about 25 miles west of Islamabad, killing four people.

The soldier rolled over and drifted to sleep, I couldn't control

I kept watch for hours, so silent and still, and we both

Then the soldier rolled over and with a voice soft and pure,

trying to protect my country and family in an irrational and

communities. You know them. You know where they are. Hand them

tighter.

You have disappeared from the streets. You have posted armed 
security
guards at your facilities. You have threatened lawsuits. You 
have
screamed for protection from reprisals. The very few Arab Muslim
representatives that HAVE appeared in the media were defensive 
and
equivocating. They seemed more concerned with making sure that 
the United
States proves who was responsible before taking action. They 
seemed more
concerned with protecting their fellow Muslims from violence 
directed
towards them in the United States and abroad than they did with 
supporting
our country and denouncing "leaders" like Khadafi, Hussein, 
Farrakhan, and
Arafat. If the true teachings of Islam proclaim tolerance and 
peace and
love for all people then I want chapter and verse from the 
Koran and
statements from popular Muslim leaders to back it up. What good 
is it if
the teachings in the Koran are good and pure and true when 
your "leaders"
are teaching fanatical interpretations, terrorism, and 
intolerance?

It matters little how good Islam SHOULD BE if large numbers of 
the
world's Muslims interpret the teachings of Mohammed incorrectly 
and adhere
to a degenerative form of the religion. A form that has been 
demonstrated
to us over and over again. A form whose structure is built upon 
a
foundation of violence, death, and suicide. A form whose 
members are
recruited from the prisons around the world. A form whose 
members
defended Johnny Cochran and 0. J. Simpson after the latter 
butchered his
wife and murdered an innocent friend. A form whose members 
(some as young
as five years old) are seen day after day, week in and week 
out, year
after year, marching in the streets around the world, burning 
effigies of
our presidents, burning the American flag, shooting weapons 
into the air.
A form whose members convert from a peaceful religion, only to 
take up
arms against the great United States of America, the country of 
their
birth. A form whose rules are so twisted, that their traveling

of worry, keeping us from the larger and looming fate that might 
just unite us and bring sense to a world riddled with hate. 
   A call for leadership is not a call to war. In fact the war 
dogs are on the verge of extinction, as their play money is 
drying up while their paper governments become less and less 
important.
   Man has over populated the earth, and in doing so created a 
need far beyond the ability of war to cure. 
Medical science has leapt forward and gave us some peaceful 
time, removing the desperate struggle to survive against our 
environment for a while. 
   But now the time has come for us to take the challenge ahead 
of us. It requires the insight to see beyond our eyesight, feel 
beyond our feelings and to be more than we are in the mundane. 
   These are the qualities of a leader, less one.
The Leader must be willing to take a chance, trust in him/her 
self to take that leap of faith.

On March 14 last year, a  23,000 remote-controlled spy plane 
small enough to fit into a large duffel bag, and be launched 
from a car roofrack, flew low over a road junction in the 
Twentynine Palms Marine Corps range in the Californian desert. 
Flying in a loop, it dropped six tiny electronic "motes", the 
size of matchboxes, wrapped in protective scarlet foam. Using 
magnetic sensors, and by swapping information with each other, 
the motes were able to track the speed and direction of military 
vehicles as they went by. They passed this data back to the spy 
plane, which beamed it to its controllers. 

The motes are so called because the scientists who made them 
intend them to be the grandfathers of a technology called smart 
dust: sensors the size of grains of sand which will be 
manufactured by the millions and scattered over the earth as 
required to help their owners - industrial, military, medical or 
snoopish - find out who's doing what, where, and when. 

"There is nothing in the current motes that cannot be 
miniaturised," the US engineers boasted. "In three years this 
demo will be done with a six-inch aircraft, and millimetre-scale 
sensor nodes."

Even matchbox-sized, smart dust has obvious military 
applications, like tracking the movement of Iraqi Scud missile 
launchers. The road at the test range was nicknamed "Baghdad 
Highway". But bring it down to the size where it could lie on 
the ground like a grain of dirt, blow in the wind like dust, 
even drift innocently through sunbeams like the household motes 
we know, and it could become an enormously powerful surveillance 
tool.

The smartest trick of smart dust is its ability to network. A 
single mote with a single sensor will tell its monitors very 
little: "Something just moved" or "Light, got dark, got light 
again." But hundreds of motes communicating with each other, 
will provide a detailed picture.

The project is led by Kris Pister at the University of 
California in Berkeley. His goal - to make a mote with a power 
supply, a radio, a processor and a sensor, all in a cubic 
millimetre - hasn't yet been achieved. But he doesn't believe 
he's seeking anything unreasonable. Science already has years of 
experience in nanotechnology, as engineering on a microscopic 
scale is known.

Pister said he thinks about the privacy implications of smart 
dust "more than anyone on this planet". "We're pushing back the 
frontiers of knowledge," he told the nanotechnology newsletter 
Small Times. "There's profit to be made and advantage to be 
had... Well, we'll never do it completely right, but we don't 
want to do it horribly, horribly wrong."

is it if

intolerance?

It matters little how good Islam SHOULD BE if large numbers of

world's Muslims interpret the teachings of Mohammed incorrectly 
and adhere
to a degenerative form of the religion. A form that has been

to us over and over again. A form whose structure is built upon 
a
foundation of violence, death, and suicide. A form whose 
members are
recruited from the prisons around the world. A form whose

defended Johnny Cochran and 0. J. Simpson after the latter

wife and murdered an innocent friend. A form whose members 
(some as young
as five years old) are seen day after day, week in and week 
out, year
after year, marching in the streets around the world, burning

Marie: In regards to my opinion on G.W.Bush, can I just say I'm 
not a natural right winger in most respects. More of a 
centerist. In other words I can't make my mind up on anything, 
pretty much. I simply see a person as an individual even if they 
are the President of the last remaining superpower. I'm aware 
that when he was Governer of Texas, he did okay on the fiscal 
side balancing the state's books pretty well, I think he broke 
some sort of record of putting convicted criminals to death, or 
at least putting them on death row. I'm not a fan of the death 
penalty, and we've no such legislation here. That kind of record 
I'd feel uneasy about to be honest, though I realise that for 
the perpetrators of the worst criminal acts, in many cases a 
quick death is way too good for them. Like many, I support a 
particular person because of the lack of a better alternative. 
That's why Blair is so strong over here. He's smart enough to 
have stolen the clothes, as it were, of his right wing 
opposition party and captured the centre ground. What's even 
more astounding, is that he's the leader of a party who adores 
Bill Clinton you'll be sorry to hear, after Clinton gave them 
one of his ex-Presidential speeches. The Labour Party would 
ditch Blair in a heartbeat, if it weren't for the fact that he's 
so damned good at winning elections. He's just too right wing 
for them, but they need him too much to stay in power.

Bush and Blair are willing to take really tough decisions, and I 
suppose that's what leadership is all about. I at least give 
them both credit for that. Ultimately, whether history will 
judge those decsions to be wise ones, is another matter.

I believe that God/nature/take your pick/etc intended a variety 
of races, although I'm not sure why.  Not only are there no two 
trees exactly alike, for example, no two leaves on any given tree 
are identical.  But where do we draw the line?  If dna is 
compatible, then the scientific suggestion would be that breeding 
across racial lines is ok.  Remember, the differences you observe 
among the races are sominute as to be virtually nonexistant.  So 
I guess that the question is begged: is it possible to 
continually create new races?  Does it really matter?  My belief 
is that what is important is cultural difference.  I'm more 
uncomfortable being around people of cultures with which I'm not 
familiar than I am simply being around people of different races.

   I have been reading more and more about the Saddam saga in 
the local newspaper. How Saddam was a strageic partner in the 
war with Iran and a key role player in much that was going on in 
the 80's. Now we face the fact that he has much of our own 
technology and can use it against our allies and even us. We 
contend we are not going to war, all the while building a mass 
of force surronding Iraq. 
  My gut still tells me that we won't shoot first. And Saddam is 
not likely to commit suicide by doing so himself. We have just 
another month here before the easy road changes to a much harder 
route. I am finding Bush and the boys just don't have a clue how 
to resolve the Islamic clash. Going to war with Iraq is not 
going to cure all, just stave it off for yet another battle. 
  We are also seeing the high post war (28%) trauma and sickness 
from the last gulf war. Making it higher than any war ever 
before it. Reaction to nerve and other agents used by us and 
Saddam is being blamed for it. 
   I would like to see other countries step up and help defuse 
this war. But I have litte faith in such happening. The American 
government is vastly divided and hesitates as a result. This is 
worse in my view than even going to war. 
  We shall see.

It would seem war is near. Despite the lull most likely some one 
will prod us into it one way or another. I will say that the 
tension is very high, easy to ignite. I can only wait and see

Perhaps you might see better if I explain just a bit. No we 
don't worship trees, or anything like that. It is a common thing 
explained in books of "how to be a Druid" but is really only 
what is considered common knowledge. We are expected to adhere 
too much of what you read in the bible, in fact much more. It is 
true there is much on the Internet and in books, but the truth 
is, it is only what is considered common knowledge. We are 
carefully taught that we cannot expect others to do as we do. So 
no I have never asked anyone on this board to follow what I do. 
I only wish others well and try to explain some of the 
foundation of western Christianity. To get into the real eastern 
roots of it and so on would take years of study, as I am 
required to go through. I have lived on my own for 25 years and 
no I don't live in a basement with my mother. LOL! We are 
required to go through over six years of study before we are 
taught the Druid grade, and that takes another several years. 
This is far beyond anything ever required to be a Christian. 
Fact is all you have to do to be a Christian is follow and give. 
Though Christ really asks much more, the church makes it much 
easier, perhaps too easy. We reverie Christ for who he really 
is, the sun of god, unlike the Muslim. We respect the Christian 
faith and in fact follow it and go far beyond it. I apologize if 
I have offended you, but in fact I cannot divulge any more to 
you and will respect your wishes if you can respect mine. As you 
have seen a Druid is not just a peace loving fool, we will fight 
endlessly if need be for the path of truth and justice. This is

Funny, that's not how I remember it, I distinctly remember

  I see you have done some reading, into the Druid philosophy. 
But not having been in a Druid community you still have a step 
or two to go here. There is a difference between Druidry and Neo-
 Druidry. What you are referring to is considered Neo-Druidry. 
Poly-pantheism is one of the forms that consider the many faces 
of God to be one in the same, just appearing differently to each 
faith, yet in essence being a one-ness. Druidry in the old sense 
is a sun worshipping philosophy, yet in essence scientology. A 
healing art in a way the Druids were considered over seer s of 
the tribal religions and considered the holders of wisdom or 
teachers. Jesus was taught by the Bards in India, according to 
popular belief, but also it is considered that he may well have 
been taught by the Druids in the UK. During the missing 20 years 
of his life his was taught all there is to know about faith and 
philosophy. Often he is referred to as "my Druid" by the 
westernized Christian followers during the Arthurian times. 
During the time of King Arthur the Christian Church stood by the 
Pagans under Arthur rule, only to fall prey to the Romans and 
corruption in the end. Just prior to that point when Arthur 
fell, the Romans wiped out the Druids but failed to wipe out the 
traditions that were deep in the civilization in the UK. Merlin 
went mad when he had lost all and regained his sanity from 
living isolated in the woods, and was counsel to Arthur. He was 
considered the last of the Druids. Lore varies a bit on the 
exact details depending. Merlin was a seer and forsaw the 
invasion of the saxons and the battle of the red and white 
dragons, respectively the saxons and the Britons.   
   You are close but in correct when you mention either or the 
God or Goddess. Druidry and the "old ways" are believers in both 
the God and Goddess, as the sun god is born of the womb of the 
Goddess. (It is Wicca that beleivs in just the Goddess.) This 
also holds true in the Christian faith, as Jesus was of the 
Immaculate Conception from the earthly mother Mary and the 
divine God. Much of the reading available is considered Neo-
Druidry and has infusion of Wiccan and Irish old ways that 
includes the wheel of the year and so on. It is considered that 
is what Druidry has evolved into. But the people of Wales 
strongly disagree. They consider Neo-Druidry to be Pagan and 
their pure form of Druidry as authentic and believe it or not, 
Christian. Wales is the wellspring of Druidry, Anglesey and the 
Isle of Mann. It is very difficult to get the Welsh to talk 
about their true feelings in the matter as Wales is 
predominantly Christian and considers Druidry, Eistenfodd and so 
forth to be part of their Christian faith, and not pagan at all. 
The UK has a very neo-pagan view and the two often cross words 
about it. 
   Western Christianity is heavily influenced by region and from 
same came the various versions of Christianity. You have heard 
that you can be a Muslim and still be a Druid, and in a sense 
that is true, but not really. In the sense that you do not have 
to denounce any faith to learn the Druid philosophy, you in fact 
must learn the true origin of all religions and learn that they 
in fact are more similar to each other then they are different. 
Thus the "many faces of God" as Buddhist and other religions 
mention. The discipline of eastern religions is not required in 
western Christianity. But they do require that you only answer 
to Jesus and God, yet there is the trinity, Father, son and Holy 
Ghost that beckons to the earlier root from which it came. Even 
the bible has been translated and rewritten, as has the Qu ran. 
And books that are written by men are considered Dogma. As they 
are stagnant and cannot evolve as knowledge is progressive. 
  I read the bible twice when I was very young, and was a Jesus 
freak in the days when Jimmy Hendrix and Neil Young were just 
learning to play guitar. I still love Jesus and follow his 
teaching, just not the people who wrote the Bible. I pray to him 
still, even though I revere the Goddess as his birth mother and 
the Holy Father as his father. Many have been through the near 
death experience, Odin and so on gave to man insight through 
their sacrifice, long before Christ was born. The native Indian 
still practice this to gain divine insight. They are very 
similar to Druidry in many ways. 
  Christ is a man above all others, and you will find Ross 
Nichols refers to him this way, Ross Nichols is considered the 
father of today s UK Druid order. The circles of Abred and the 
basic theory of Christian faith is rooted in western philosophy 
and varies somewhat from Christian roots in the east.  
  But even the most highly considered books you can read about 
Druidry will not tell you everything, it is just not there. You 
have to be one to be taught it all. And that holds true to many 
philosophies like free masons and such. 
  As for spirits in trees, they are called Dryads, and are 
simply a way to explain what is not understood normally. 
Everything has a life force that can teach you something. This 
holds true even in most eastern religion and in the Muslim 
religion as it does in the American Indian Shaminism. 
  It has been and continues to be a fascinating study, and 
brings much to light. Again I apologize if I offended you, as I 
admit the recent 9-11 tragedy has offended me in many ways. I do 
not feel that the Muslim is correct in labeling America as 
purely Christian, I know the American Indian would take 
exception to this as would the Jews, and on & on I could go.
